Bar C Quarter Horse Company

We raise a small herd of Red Angus and Red Angus cross cattle on our ranch. Our bulls come from Harold & Pat Hughes, owners of Glacier Red Angus in Polson, Montana.  Every year we retain a few of our best heifers and cycle them back into the main herd.  We select them for conformation, disposition and the production history of their dams.

"Neighbors Helping Neighbors"

We brand our calves "the old fashioned way" by dragging them to the fire. We have a great time with our family & friends as we share the work among the neighbors. This includes young and old alike. At the branding, everyone has ample opportunity to hone his or her roping skills, vaccinating skills, mugging skills, or branding skills. We even enjoyed a "Yak" branding last year at which a few of us got to practice our running skills. After the work is done everyone delights in a BIG dinner and visiting. As was written in the Radersburg News many times, "A good time was had by all."
